Dr. Carl Troy Woodbury (93) 1922 - 2015

Dr. Carl Tryo WoodburyEvangelist Carl Troy Woodbury, Sr., 93, a resident of Franklin, NC, (formerly of Indianapolis, Indianapolis), went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 13, 2015.  He is survived by his precious wife of 73 years, Joyce and two children, Lana Carol Peterson (James) and Carl Troy (Sandra Lynn) and several grand-children and great-grandchildren.  Bro. Woodbury served in World War II as a Corpsman / Medic attached to the U. S. Marines serving in the Pacific Theater.

Bro. Woodbury was a graduate of Wake Forest College and did his seminary work at Crozer Seminary.  He received Christ in March of 1953 after having pastored a number of Southern Baptist churches.  His personal testimony is in a tract, titled “A Lost Preach Saved”, in which millions have been distributed.  It tells of his journey through modernism and mysticism as he travelled through the Southern and Northern Baptist Colleges that he attended.  Afterwards he pastored several Independent Baptist churches before going into full time evangelism.  Services were held for him on Aug. 22nd at the Victory Baptist Church near Franklin, N.C.  Rev. R.C. Redmond conducted the service along with other pastors.   Internment was at Forrest Hill Cemetery in Morgantown, N.C.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Missionary Tract Fund Limited Inc., P. O. Box 28, Franklin, NC 28744.

Bobby (Dee) and Carol Dorchester

Carol and Bobby DeeBobby and Carol, who died recently at their home in Hemet, California within two weeks of each other, met at one of the original American Coalition of Unregistered Churches meeting at the Indianapolis Baptist Temple.  Carol was near eighty and Bobby had just turned eighty-one.  They were both accomplished musicians and singers who were known for innovative ways of gospel music on the piano and various other musical instruments.  They traveled for years in churches and later throughout the nation presenting gospel and patriotic programs in Mobile Home Parks and Camp Grounds.  Bobby led singing and presented the music for many years at the ACUC and later at the Unregistered Baptist Fellowship Meetings.  They were both precious and untiring servants of God who will be missed by all of us who knew them.
