A Parable of the Lesser of Two Evils

A Parable of the Lesser of Two Evils

A Christian believer was driving along a country road with his children late one night, when he accidently ran off into a deep ravine filled with muddy water and was stuck up to his headlights.  However, thankfully there came by two good Samaritans who were willing to stop and ask him if they could help.  One was a Christian believer in a car with a rope and the other a profane man, with tattoos over much of his body, with a long chain and a wench truck.  Remembering what his Christian friends had told him about always choosing the, “lesser of two evils”, he sent the tattooed, profane man on his way, “trusting in God”, and with great faith he helped his new found friend fasten the rope around the bumper of the car.  The next day after much time and a large expenditure added to his credit card, he finally made it home.  His wife of course said, “What took you so long?”  He said, “Well, I chose the advice of my friends and chose the lesser of two evils.”  Then he said, “but, maybe I should have taken the advice of that ‘friend that sticketh closer than a brother’, Jesus, who commended the unjust steward, “because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.”
